Stuck

It's been a pretty exciting week around here. On Monday when John tried to go to work, he backed his Z up 20 feet and tried to turn around only to realized he was stuck. Jack and I were watching out the window as John tried to move the car to no avail. This made quite an impression on Jack. All week I've heard, "Daddy's car stuck." Then Grandma came out to get Jack on Tuesday. The Volvo ended up stuck too! Grandma has AAA, so a tow truck came out to get her car. Jack couldn't have been any happier as he watched the tow truck work. So, John had to drive my car all week while the Z remained stuck in the driveway, and I couldn't ask anyone to come get us since they would probably get stuck. So, essentially we were stuck too. Stuck at home. 

Being stuck at home isn't all bad. It gave me a chance to get out both the camera and the video camera and capture some of the things that go on around here on a typical day. 

Luke has started sitting up for short periods of time in his Bumbo seat. That means that Jack's doll has also started sitting in the Bumbo seat. I hear, "Baby's turn," an awful lot. Jack wants his baby to do everything that my baby does. 

That includes being carried in the Baby Bjorn and sucking on a pacifier. It also includes naps in the cradle and time in the carseat and stroller. It's absolutely hilarious to watch Jack caring for his baby. 

Luke is pretty enamored with Jack right now. Here they are talking to each other over lunch. Check out how strong Luke is! He now treats sitting in the bouncy seat like it's an exercise. 

Being stuck and forced to slow down has been an unexpected delight. Watching the boys interact more and laughing at Jack's funny antics has actually made being stuck fun.
