The boys were in two different age groups this year. Luke dominated the 4-6 year old age group. Ha! John was in charge of watching him. He said Luke was like a linebacker going after the eggs. I watched Jack since I had already watched Luke's school hunt. Jack was methodical. He ran to the far end of Central Park and worked his way back while the other kids in his age group were all lumped together. He ended up with more than his fair share but happily dumped eggs into other kids' baskets.

Luke's School Easter Egg Hunt
Luke's preschool had their Easter egg hunt this morning. He had so much fun! His friends are so sweet. It was a pleasure to watch them interacting with each other. Next on our schedule is our neighborhood hunt on Saturday.

A Good Story
Almost every time I go see what Jack is up to lately, he is reading. Reading when he is supposed to be sleeping... Reading when he is supposed to be getting dressed for school... Reading in the car until he's carsick. I can relate. I remember one night of my childhood quite vividly. I was probably in fifth or sixth grade. The book was Where the Red Fern Grows. I had a pretty strict 9:00 bedtime, but I was allowed to read in bed. However, when my dad woke up at 3:00 in the morning and found me still reading, I was in trouble.
I've been biting my tongue and going easy on schedules lately because I just love to see the little man reading anything he can get his hands on. Even when I find him reading by the light of his flashpal an hour after I tuck him in, I'm going easy because I know there's not too many things better in life than a good story.

Megan's Last Spring Break
Megan is finishing up with her last college classes. Soon, she'll start her year of clinicals for PA school. That means this is her last spring break, and thankfully she chose to spend it with us! We had awesome weather for her and lots of fun little things to do.
Megan and I went to a Paint Your Pets class.
Luke, Megan, and I went downtown and found all the mice on Main Street.
Megan, Jack, Luke, and I went to see Zootopia.
We took the kids to the park by Jack's school and let them play on the playground for awhile and hiked down to see the waterfalls.
Megan and I also did quite a bit of shopping. So fun! It was nice to just hang out with one of my favorite people. On Friday morning, after I'd taken Megan to the airport, Luke woke up and said, "I wish we could hear Megan's voice today..." And it wasn't long before Jack was saying he missed her too. We love you, Meggie!
