Georgia On Jack's Mind

Jack's second grade program was this morning. He taught the audience about Cherokee Indians in Georgia and walked with other students on the Trail of Tears. It was an incredible program, highlighting everything the students learned during second grade in social studies.

Peter and the Wolf and Friends

Everyone made my birthday special this year. I'm overwhelmed by how sweet so many loved ones were. Thank you to all of you. Much love!

John and I took the boys to see the Atlanta Symphony perform Peter and the Wolf and Friends for my birthday. We had awesome second row seats and thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Jack had to prepare a character book report and dress up as that character for school. He chose Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the series Jack read over Winter Break. He wrote a shopping list for me and drew the mask. It's fun to see him so excited about a project.

Cumberland Caverns

We drove up to Cumberland Caverns and then spent the night with Grandma. The cave tour was so neat. I'm jokingly referring to it as the death march though because the following week I had to go to the doctor with bronchitis. I'm pretty sure John was trying to kill me. Ha!

Mountain Biking

John and I took the boys to mountain bike at Blankets Creek trails. Here's some highlights from the day.

Girls Weekend

My sisters and two of my nieces came to stay with us a few weeks ago. We shopped, ate out, and had fun together. Those sorts of weekends are good for the soul.

100 Years Old

For the 100th day of school, Luke got to dress up as a 100 year old man. His excitement about this day was endearing.

Jack's 8th Birthday- The Gift

I played a little trick on Jack this year for his birthday. The end result was a new bike, but getting there was most of the fun.
