Little Luke is seven months old today. This was a big month for Luke. He went on his first vacation to Florida with the Seatons, and he flew on an airplane to Minnesota to celebrate Megan's Graduation. He was a trooper on both trips, napping and sleeping wherever I placed him. What else has Luke been up to this month?
- He easily sits up by himself.
- He gets to his knees, and just tonight he started crawling.
- He can stand with the ottoman for support. Uncle Kevin taught him that little trick. He's just about able to pull himself up. He makes it easily to his knees and can't quite get his chunky little legs beneath him.
- He's an incredibly social baby. That's what I tell myself when he cries for me at least once a night still.
- He's eating pretty well. He's had rice, oatmeal, pears, sweet potatoes, bananas, and butternut squash so far.
- He's also drinking pretty well from a sippy cup.
- He has five teeth and more pushing through.
Luke cracks us up all of the time. Last night we were at Target and John bounced a ball towards Jack. Jack thought that was fun, but Luke found it absolutely hilarious. We stood in the ball aisle and bounced a ball for 10 minutes just because it gave us so much pleasure to hear the little guy giggle.
Jack is by far Luke's favorite person in the world. Luke wakes up about an hour before Jack every morning. The highlight of Luke's day is when Jack comes out of his room and tells him good morning. It's a highlight of my day too to see the two of them interact with each other. I've never been happier that we were blessed with two little boys to love.
