Lots of Fun for a Quarter

Earlier this week, Grandma Jane told me and Jack about a fun event out at Ellington Agriculture Center in Nashville. Today they were holding a goat petting zoo and milking. If you know John, you may know that he is a little crazy about goats since our move out to the country. Jack is also farm animal crazy. He knows all the sounds the animals make, and we spend every car ride pointing out and talking about the cows, goats, and horses that we see. So, we made the short drive up to Nashville to have some fun. First we saw some horses.

Then Jack climbed onto the saddle for a ride.

Then we moved on to the main event. For 25 cents we bought a cup of feed and fed it to the goats. Jack wasn't quite sure about this. The goats snorted as they ate, and the sound startled him every time. We spent lots of time looking at the goats. When we moved on to look at other things, Jack kept running back to the goats and yelling, "goas".

(I love how Jack's hand is on John's thigh in this photo.)

Jack was so intrigued with the goats and horses that this was the only picture of the ninety-five I took that you can see his face in! He had so much fun. I'm just glad we didn't waste that quarter!

We've decided that if Megan gets an agriculture business degree, Ellington Agriculture Center is where she needs to work. It is absolutely beautiful! Also, weddings on the estate only cost $100. I can't imagine a more beautiful place to tie the knot! FYI for anyone who needs to know...
