We greeted 2015 by going to a neighborhood party at the fire pit. The kids played hard until the fireworks started at which point Luke told me he was going home and set off. I caught up, but I think he was going whether I caught up or not. John and Jack stayed for the fireworks; these were Jack's first fireworks as he's always thought they were too loud in the past. Probably by next year Luke will think they are fun too, and if he doesn't I hope he'll walk me home again.
