Jack's Sunday Adventure

Jack just started Spring Break, and today we took the bikes to downtown Portsmouth to ride along the waterfront. We ended up riding 11 miles and shared as many smiles as we rode around Portsmouth and Norfolk seeking adventure. Here are some the sights from today's outing.
Here's a photo of the USS Kearsarge at the shipyard in Portsmouth.

Olde Towne Portsmouth has some beautiful homes.

These reminded me of the second place and Ellie and I called home together.

We found a sun dial shortly before noon.

We found a dragon in the park.

Here's another beautiful home in Olde Towne. I really liked the windows.

Here's a tall ship moored on the Norfolk side of the Elizabeth River.

We crossed the Elizabeth from Portsmouth to Norfolk on a ferry.

Mermaid sculptures are scattered all over Norfolk. Here is one in a fountain.

The USS Wisconsin is moored in downtown Norfolk and is open for tours.

We found a Koi pond.

Here's a pagoda. There's a restaurant inside, but we did not eat there.

Here is Jack riding the ferry back to Portsmouth.

Easter Egg Hunt

The moms at school planned an awesome Easter egg hunt for the kids today. The kids got to eat lunch together, find over 200 eggs, and play on the playground together.

Morning Funny

Jack: Mama, I'm getting goose popped.

I'll let you figure out what he meant.
