Hoffler Creek

We finally all felt well enough to return to the land of the living yesterday. What better way to celebrate than a walk around Hoffler Creek with friends? 

A Peek

Where have we been for the last couple of weeks? Mainly at the doctor's office, in bed, or on the couch. Jack had his annual exam, followed by tonsillitis, followed by a stomach virus. So far, Luke has only fallen to the tonsillitis. Both boys have been napping and spending a lot of time on the couch. The above photo is of Luke, taken right outside my bedroom door just before his doctor's visit. Jack has taken three hour naps the last two afternoons. He's a clever chap, choosing to nap in his bed instead of on the hallway floor.

I'm leaving the sick camp for the weekend to go to Betsy's shower. I'm excited to have a weekend away, but at the same time I worry about leaving the boys behind when they aren't feeling their best. What if they NEED their mama? They'll have to settle for their daddy whose patience and kindness often exceeds their mama's anyway.
