We hosted an Easter egg hunt at our house this morning. Some of Jack's friends, our friends, and Grandpa and Grandma came for the event. Seeing Jack and his friends giddy with excitement was so much fun. Jack filled his basket all the way up and had to put the overflow in Luke's basket. Luke walked around with an egg in one hand and his empty basket in the other.
We took a short rest after the Easter egg hunt, and then we went with Grandpa to his friend's pond for the boys' first fishing trip. Grandpa caught two fish and let Jack reel them in. That was pretty exciting. It was definitely something Jack won't forget soon.
John and I have been so busy lately that today felt like the first time in way too long since we just enjoyed an entire day with the boys. We needed it.
